At Comerica Bank, we are committed to supporting our communities. Our employee volunteer program supports corporate objectives for success by improving the lives of individuals and the communities in which we do business through volunteerism, building and managing relationships and strategic partnerships. Our volunteers give generously of their time and talent, by participating on boards, supporting our financial education outreach efforts, and providing service to strengthen our local communities.
Comerica colleagues are committed to the communities where they live and work. In 2023, Comerica colleagues recorded nearly 80,000 volunteer hours. With a dollar value of $31.80 per volunteer hour, that equates to more than $2.5 million worth of donated time invested in our communities.
In addition to the volunteer time recorded, colleagues packaged thousands of pounds of food for food banks across all markets; distributed thousands of meals either through the food banks or directly preparing and serving them; raised enough funds to build quick ramps for disabled children; provided needed dollars to annual United Way campaign helping to create long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues.
Comerica’s Financial Education Brigade, designed to meet the growing need for financial education in our communities, provides structure, oversight and trains volunteers to support our efforts. This team of Comerica colleagues is committed to delivering on our core value of being a force for good in low- to moderate-income communities across all our markets.
