Jerry Bowen, Southeast Market President, is honored to build and strengthen Comerica’s roots in the Southeast.

Being successful follows a simple formula. “One of the things we do really well in building relationships with customers is taking the time to get to know the customer – asking the questions to understand their business, what’s important to them instead of trying to put a product in front of them.” He knows the key is recognizing what they need and want to progress and succeed.

All business owners know there can be ups and downs, but Bowen believes, “It’s not only knowing the company, but being able to understand and help the company navigate through good periods as well as bad periods.” Comerica isn’t a fair-weather friend but one that guides our customers through the storm.

History is on Comerica’s side. Over the last 174 years, Comerica has built our reputation on being there from the beginning, offering guidance, expertise, and advice.

“One of the core values for the company is putting customers first,” Bowen says with a smile. “I think if everybody in the organization wakes up every day and thinks about the reason we’re here and the reason we have jobs is to serve our customers.”

As Bowen says, “The proof is in the pudding… the people really make the difference.”
